Dynamic Acoustic Design
The Knowledge Center, serving as an interactive library and archive for the Tolna County Gyula Illyés Library, is located near the train station and city center. Encompassing 1,500 square meters, this facility consolidates a vast collection of 360,000 documents that are currently spread across four different locations. It includes spaces for lectures, training sessions, exhibitions, and office space.
A standout feature of the interior design is the MINERAL Baffle Element Arc suspended ceiling, which boasts outstanding acoustic properties. This design not only enhances the visual appeal of the space but also fosters a tranquil environment throughout the building and its office areas. The undulating, vertically suspended linear elements evoke the ripples on the Danube River, creating a captivating focal point in various areas of the facility. This ceiling solution plays a crucial role in establishing a quiet setting, making it perfect for work, study, and collaboration.
