Cradle to Cradle Certified®
The Cradle to Cradle Certified® programme has been developed to meet growing customer demand for sustainable products, with C2C certification already becoming a requirement for building projects in the United States and Europe. Cradle to Cradle Certified® products are recognised in LEED® and the WELL Building Standard®.
LEED®, BREEAM, HQE, DGNB and WELL
Our ceiling systems meet a range of industry requirements, including the environmental certification of BREEAM® and the LEED® Green Building Rating System for high performance, sustainability and product transparency. These are complemented with recognition by HQE™ for the building lifecycle and DGNB, the global benchmark for sustainability.
Improving human health and wellbeing through the design of the built environment has also been praised by the WELL Building Standard®, while the Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort (Gold) certification ensures that all health criteria on Knauf Ceiling Solutions’ product emissions are sufficiently fulfilled.
Environmental Product Declarations
Project teams aim to assess the environmental impacts at the building level to provide flexibility when specifying construction products. Taken together, construction products make a highly significant contribution to the overall life cycle impacts of a building.
Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) are independently verified and registered documents that communicate transparent and comparable information about the life-cycle environmental impact of products. Our EPDs have been third party certified by IBU (Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (IBU) as conforming to the requirements of ISO 14025.
